I am now back from touring up the East coast of the States. I have spend the last couple of days getting my allotment up and running.
I have got most of my crops in and only time will tell if I am late for any of them. Looking around at my neighbours it would seem that the weather has not been very good for growing as the summer has not yet got going.
I have netted all of my fruit before the birds start on it and if you any fruit I would advise you to do the same. You will be surprised how quick the birds can strip a bush. They have an advantage, in so far that they will be there at first light and at this time of the year: that is bright and early.
